


CILISAT Test
We are a testing centre for CILISAT recognized by Cultural Interpretation Services of Our Communities (CISOC).
In 1994, at the request of Ontario's Ministry of Citizenship, Culture and Recreation, CISOC developed the Community Interpreter Language and Interpreting Skills Assessment Tool (CILISAT) in order to evaluate the language and interpretation proficiencies of people applying for certification as community interpreters.
The CILISAT offers recruiters and service providers a snapshot of an individual's current ability in consecutive interpreting and sight translating in any of 50 languages and dialects. CISOC manages and administers CILISAT certification in these 50 languages throughout Canada.
CILISAT is needed for certification as a community interpreter in Canada and is used by agencies to assess an interpreter's bilingual fluency and skills in sight translation and consecutive interpretation.It verifies that candidates can accurately and professionally interpret in settings like healthcare and social services, and is often a minimum requirement for employment,
